KeeneticOS component description

KeeneticOS supports the following components:

A maximum of three web interface languages can be selected in the system. English is a mandatory component.

Network functions

OpenConnect VPN client

Allows to establish OpenConnect connections from this device

IPv6

Provides IPv6 protocol support and related services

Proxy client

Allows the establishment of connections via SOCKS/HTTP proxies from this device

ZeroTier client

A Smart Ethernet Switch for Earth: Create flat virtual Ethernet networks of almost unlimited size

OpenConnect VPN server

Allows to connect to home network devices using OpenConnect

IKEv1/IPsec and IKEv2/IPsec VPN servers

Allows to connect to home network devices using IKEv1 and IKEv2

Utilities and services

Service for mobile application

Provides remote management of your Keenetic device via the mobile app for Android and iOS

Cloud services agent and KeenDNS

The cloud agent provides services for devices to connect to the remote monitoring and management system (RMM) and operate the domain name KeenDNS service

Dynamic DNS (DDNS) client

Keeps track of dynamic public IP-address on this appliance and maps it to a static domain name when changed

SNMP server

Allows to remotely gather statistics from this device

Packet capture

Allows to capture network traffic on router interfaces

mDNS service

Allows this device to handle and relay Multicast DNS and DNS-SD messages

Important

Due to the different hardware configurations of Keenetic routers, we do not guarantee that all components and specific combinations of components available for a particular model can be installed at the same time. In addition, some operating system components are mutually exclusive and cannot work simultaneously.
